About Marty Barry
![]()
I’m a designer, a landscape architect, and I own two bicycles.
My cousin Kevin was due to find out that he was in remission from Hodgkin’s in 2005. Instead, he was notified that cancer had spread to his head, neck, and tongue. He died at age 43. Kevin was a legend in my family and it was difficult to lose his guiding presence. My mom – who was 61 – died of breast cancer three weeks later. She was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer that eventually metastasized to her brain. My mother was a tremendous inspiration before and during cancer; captivating hordes with her grace, and fighting terminal cancer valiantly for more than five years. Her body simply couldn’t withstand the vigor of the aggressive treatment that was required, so she left us.
I wish that I could spark a cure with will power but it has yet to work. So, I’m helping in other ways. Your donations will fund research that will eventually help people like my friends Wendy, George, and Lauren; my cousin Kevin; and my mom beat cancer for good! Please help and donate now!
